Caramel Candy Cocktail or is it Butterscotch???

Mmmm.... and as I took a sip... a memory came to mind... I'm a little boy and my grandpa and I are about to go fishing! Ah yes... and best of all he hands me a caramel treat! {Oh wait! That's the commercial for Werther's Original Caramel Candies!}

LOL... In all honesty, I made this caramel candy cocktail of superfoods late the other night and as I took a sip I literally had the memory of watching that commercial! Talk about good advertising! So here it is for all of you caramel addicts! Quite frankly, I am less than fond of caramel... altho I did indulge in a few Werther's Originals back in the day... and oddly enough, my grandpa always gave them to me.... hmmm...

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

1 Cup Purified Water

3 Tbl Lucuma Powder

1 Tbl Raw Buckwheat Honey

1 tsp Coconut Oil

1 tsp Vanilla Powder

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

pinch of crystal salt

WHAT TO DO NEXT:

The raw buckwheat honey is KEY... I believe that is what lends to that sort of caramel flavor... or is it butterscotch?! I know, make the drink and then let me know! Butterscotch or caramel!

OK... so what you will do is pour all ingredients into your favorite blender... blend on high, pour and serve!

There you have it! It's that simple!

Now remember... go make this luscious cocktail that inspires the senses of the inner child in all of us and then report back with your vote!

Caramel or Butterscotch???

Oh and just in case you're wondering:

Lucuma is a subtropical fruit of Andean origin. It is sometimes known as lucmo. In English it is known as the "eggfruit"... It is a very nutritious fruit, having high levels of carotene, vitamin B3, and other B vitamins. It is especially abundant in beta-carotene, niacin and iron with significant amounts of calcium and phosphorus.

Lucuma is a popular flavoring for ice cream in its native range, and in Peru even exceeds the demand for more globally popular flavors such as strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla.

My FAVORITE Raw Organic Buckwheat Honey can be bought at Humming Bird Ranchin NY. I was turned on to this honey at our local framers market. The price is unbeatable and these farmers LOVE their bees! They are well educated as to the importance of honey being raw! (I found this out after a slew of questions to the farmer as he then proceeded to share his book of photos dedicated to his bee's and how important it is to love them!
